NEW! The most fuel- and space-efficient of all of our models, the Santa Cruz was designed with spontaneity, freedom, and ease in mind – allowing you to chase the surf breaks, take detours, and find hidden gems. This latest model is perfect for solo road trippers or couples who don’t need the extra space that the Big Sur or Mavericks offer. Get ready to zip around town, navigate tight turns, and get off the beaten track – without sacrificing any comforts or functionality.
All of our campervans for rent are fully-equipped, custom-built, and hand-painted. They’re perfect for long weekend getaways, cross country bucket-list road trips, and national park tours. When you compare campervans to RVs, our small campervans provide functional comforts and the flexibility and freedom to get off the beaten path.
Available in Los Angeles, San Francisco & Las Vegas
Santa Cruz’s innovative layout makes it easy to plop into bed after a day of exploring. The full-time bed set up in the back is easy and functional. The space-saving kitchen in the back of the van includes a 1-burner pullout stove, 3.5-gallon sink & water tank, and dual-powered refrigerator. Store your clothes in the drawers, grab your groceries & hit the road!

This was the best trip of my life. My friend and I had the best time traveling around in our Santa Cruz campervan. We will be coming back and doing it again for sure!

Really cool way to see the country! We rented a Maverick for two people, which is what it seemed most people we met were doing. Just remember these and the Santa Cruz trucks are built for commercial use, which means minimal suspension, and most dispersed camping roads are not managed. The only draw back to the whole trip was being limited to the places we could go due to this. Consider the jeep 4x4 is available and you’re really adventurous/not camping in actual campgrounds. Despite mileage not being included in the price like other camper van rental companies, We’ll likely be renting again.

I had a blast in the Santa Cruz ESCAPE Campervan. The reservation, and pickup system was smooth and easy even during Covid. The van was set up exactly as advertised. It was easy to drive and had tons of storage for my 3 week road trip. I was a solo traveler but there was definitely enough space for a companion. At first I wasn't really into the color scheme but so many people (especially kids) got a kick out of it that it really added an extra fun element to my trip. The van drop off was quick too. I highly recommend ESCAPE for your campervan needs!

We travelled around Northern CA and Southern Oregon for 2 weeks in June in the Santa Cruz van. It was great. Fuel efficiency was better than expected. Packing light for the Santa Cruz is highly recommended as there is less stuff on the bed when you want to retire in the evening. We brought our own bedding and were sufficiently warm and we found the bed really comfortable (on the hard end, definitely not *soft*). We got the kitchen kit and it had everything we needed. The pull out kitchen was great for non-complicated meals and the refrigerator drawer was AWESOME. We camp a lot and found it quite luxurious.
